An up-and-coming service that we offer is the expert installation of false chimney breasts. Adding false fireplaces to properties can make the rooms look and feel cosier, particularly in new builds which are often blank canvases.
A false chimney breast can ultimately contain an inset electric, gas, wood-burning, or free-standing stove, it’s up to you. If you would like to have a working fire installed, we can construct a false chimney breast around your new twin wall flue, creating a chimney breast almost anywhere in the house. False chimney breasts give you the complete, classic look of a fireplace and are a great addition to your property.
The installation process first involves creating a metal frame as support. Your chosen fire or free-standing stove is then installed into the frame. This is then plastered and filled, creating a lovely smooth finish, ready for decorating. It is becoming increasingly popular to have false chimney breasts installed with electric fires and complimenting areas for a TV and storage, and we agree, it looks great! It is also possible to add a complimenting beam across the top to finish the look of the fireplace.
